On November 8, Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography, Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Kigali Adventist University (UNILAK) in Rwanda jointly held the sixth "International Conference on Environment, Energy and Development". At the meeting, SAJOREC inaugurated the Rwanda office of SAJOREC located in UNILAK.
On November 10, SAJOREC signed a MOU with the University of Rwanda, aiming to further deepen scientific research cooperation between China and Rwanda. According to the agreement, China and Rwanda will fully leverage their respective resource advantages around the platform of SAJOREC, with a common goal of biodiversity conservation. The focus will be on ecosystem protection, biodiversity conservation, biological big data, climate change, sustainable agricultural development, and talent cultivation in Rwanda, with the aim of building a close partnership for sustainable development.
